Year of Impact: Merlog Foods revamps Sithumba Junior Primary School

In 2025, Merlog Foods played a significant role in supporting Sithumba Junior Primary School through a range of initiatives that have greatly improved the school environment and learner experience.

Their support included painting classrooms and repairing school roofs, fitting new ceilings, installing fencing to improve safety, and paving key areas of the school grounds. In addition, Merlog Foods donated a container kitchen, strengthening the school’s ability to support feeding and nutrition programmes for learners.

Merlog Foods also contracted an Administration Assistant for 12 months, providing essential administrative support to the school and helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Beyond infrastructure and administrative support, Merlog Foods invested in learner development by hosting the school’s Athletics Day, as well as Mathematics and Literacy competitions, encouraging participation, confidence, and academic excellence. Merlog also proudly donated school uniforms and shoes to learners at Sithumba Primary, helping ensure that children can attend school with confidence, comfort, and dignity—ready to focus on learning and growth. These contributions have made a meaningful difference to the school, its learners, and educators, reflecting the positive impact committed HCRDA members continue to have within our communities. We believe in investing in education and helping create a better learning environment for Sithumba Junior Primary School. We are proud to continue our support into 2026.
